A Night on the Town With Michael Buble

Corey bought me tickets back in September for my birthday to go to the Michael Buble concert. We finally got to go last night! He was amazing! Not only super talented, and his band was fantastic, but he was hysterical. Anytime we werent being entranced by his music we were laughing. Here is a clip from my phone. It's weird, I have an HTC One that takes AMAZING pictures but the video sucks :(

We sat in 218, but we still got a fantastic show...

OH! And his opening act was great as well. They are called Naturally 7. They do the vocal play, where there is no band, just do the instruments with their voices. Here's a link to their site:

Awwww love him so much :)

Before the show we tried out a couple of new places. You know how we like to try new places out! First we went to Church Street Tavern. Its in the old place where Dessert Lady used to be (RIP I don't know if ANYTHING will be able to compete with that place) But we sat at a high top right in the back. First the place is so awesome looking..
I love the high ceilings and being able to see the building for it's true beauty. The menu is fairly limited. I'm not sure if it's because it is a new restaurant, but they had about 3 appetizers, a variety of decked out fries, 4 or 5 sandwiches, then there's about 6 variations on a sandwich called the beast. You pick a meat and then it's topped with provolone, cole slaw, french fries, and tomato. They have salads, a cobb, strawberry, caesar, chicken salad, and then about 2 entrees. We happened upon them after not being able to get into Rusty Spoon AGAIN... lol it's almost a game now. We have heard such great things about them, but they're either closed for a private event, or too busy.

It was wine Wednesday so that meant 50% off any glass of wine under 10 dollars, and bottle under 50.
Our drinks took FOREVER. The server was really nice about it, but the bartender and kitchen were sllloooowwww. We ended up getting the deviled eggs to start, which had gin infused into them and bacon dust on top. I am personally not a fan of deviled eggs, but I gave them a shot (didn't like them) but Corey said they were just ok. He said the filling didn't have a lot of flavor and was sort of bland. I ordered the tomato soup (marinara?), and I had the strawberry salad, and Corey the Reuben. My salad had candied cinnamon walnuts, strawberries, and goat cheese with a champagne vinaigrette dressing (it looked better before I started eating it.. I forgot to take a picture).
yummmm... It was delicious. A HUGE salad though. There was soo much lettuce. Probably like 2 salad express bags worth. I barely put a dent in it. But the real hit was Corey's Reuben and french fries. The FRIES.... omg delicious. They tasted like fresh, real, just cut and dropped in a fryer french fries. I kept stealing them :/ And his Reuben was awesome as well! The meat had so much flavor. It was fantastic.

So the place definitely had it's positives, they need a little work, but that's expected with any new place. Hoping they'll eventually put burgers on their menu.

After this we went to go hop in line to get into the show but it was like a mile long, so we dropped into Draft across from the amway to grab a drink really quick. That place is huge, and really nice. We went to the very back bar, and even though she was slammed the bartender got to us pretty quick. I had a ketel one dirty martini (I think the biggest one I've ever had) and Corey had a jack and diet.
Overall, we had a really fun time! We will probably be going back to both places another time. I hope you have enjoyed and Happy Halloween everyone!
